Native American Aviation Workforce Development Scholarship Program
The Native American Aviation Association (NAAA), in partnership with WSU Tech’s National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT), is proud to introduce the Native American Aviation Workforce Development Scholarship Program, a federally funded initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). This exciting program is designed to open doors for Native Americans seeking rewarding, high-demand careers in aviation and aerospace by providing financial assistance for industry-recognized training and career development opportunities. Through this partnership, eligible participants can pursue specialized training in aviation maintenance, avionics, aerospace manufacturing, professional piloting, and other aviation-related disciplines while gaining the skills and credentials necessary to enter a rapidly growing industry. Currently, scholarship opportunities are available exclusively to eligible Native American applicants residing in six DOL-approved Kansas counties: Cowley, Harvey, Reno, Sedgwick, Sumner, and Wyandotte. As NAAA continues to expand its workforce development initiatives, our goal is to bring these transformative educational and career opportunities to Native communities throughout the United States.
